Born in Southeast Missouri, Ben was raised on the traditional values of honesty and hard work.  After graduating high school, Ben served 4 years in the U.S. Military which reinforced the values learned in his youth. Later he attended and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts.  Using a minimalist approach and being mindful of negative space Ben constructs simple geometric forms to capture the viewers’ interest and stir their emotions.
